From the thrill of competition to the artistry of cinema, these gatherings are not just events; they’re cultural landmarks. With another glorious European summer in mind, the BCP team put together a list of our top five events in Europe we think can define the summer of 2024.

The Olympic Games, a beacon of international unity and athletic prowess, return to Paris after a century. The city of romance and revolution is poised to deliver an unparalleled celebration of sportsmanship and human potential.
With over 200 nations participating, the games will be a melting pot of cultures, each bringing their unique spirit to the competition. Paris 2024 will not only honour the past but also pave the way for the future with a focus on sustainability and innovation.
The introduction of new sports will attract a younger audience, while the gender-equal representation ensures that the games are a true reflection of our diverse society. The Eiffel Tower, the Seine River, and the Champs-Élysées will serve as more than just a backdrop; they will be integral to the games, with events planned around these iconic sites. The Olympic Village will be a model of eco-friendly living, showcasing the latest in green technology.
You can even squeeze in a little shopping..or why not take a Champagne tour on a day off from the Olympics to… you know.. CHAMPAGNE!

The Cannes Film Festival is a celebration of storytelling… and cinematic innovation.
Under the leadership of Greta Gerwig, the festival is set to showcase a wide range of films that, as alway, challenge conventions and spark conversations. Cannes becomes a hub for filmmakers, actors, and enthusiasts, all united by their love for the silver screen.
The festival is not just about the competition; it’s a platform for networking, deal-making, and discovering new talent. The Palme d’Or, the highest prize awarded at Cannes, is a symbol of artistic achievement that every filmmaker aspires to. The French Riviera, with its azure waters and golden beaches, provides a serene escape for attendees to relax and reflect between screenings.
Given our invitation from Brad Pitt must have got lost this year, we’ll be giving this one a miss, but for those celebrity gazers that don’t mind the traffic, it’s a must see.. once.

Wimbledon is the crown jewel of the tennis world, embodying the sport’s rich heritage. And some damn fine strawberries.
